We had an amazing night at the Glass House wedding venue in Staining last Saturday. Although we had some unpredictable rainy weather, the bride and groom, Katy and Ash were on top form and Katy’s dress looked incredible! We played Katy’s birthday many years ago and we were lucky enough for her to ask us to now play her wedding.
It’s been a while since our last wedding post. We have all been super busy with gigs and life in general, especially Chris! He and his wife Katie welcomed little baby Oscar James into the world on the 19th May (2019). So we were all on alert from the end of April just in case! Jeannie was an absolute star and was our stand in lead singer over this period and she did a sterling job, so if your reading this jeannie - thank you!
Last night we were up in the Lakes at The Inn on the Lake, by Ullswater. WOW! the whole area is stunning and so dramatic. This is the second time we have performed at this venue and it was just as an amazing setting as the first time.
Loveley wedding last week at The villa in Wrea Green. The bride and groom, Rachel & Mathew opted to have their big day on a Monday. They wanted Chris & Paul to perform as Silhouette (down beat duo) during the wedding breakfast and then have the full on band for the evening reception.
One of our most hotly anticipated weddings of this year was that of Allison and Gari!
We performed at the Barton Grange Hotel nr. Preston last Saturday. This is the 3rd time at the venue for us and it was a pleasure as usual.
Last week we performed at Kim and Jo’s wedding. The venue was The Apple Store in Scorton. This place has just taken the top spot in my personal favourite wedding venues. It is set in incredible surroundings, gorgeous meadows, a lake and loads of wooded areas.
Chris & Paul performed for Ashleigh and Josh’ wedding at Singleton lodge last Friday. We have played this venue many times and it really is beautiful.
Last nights Christmas themed wedding was up in the Lake district at The Wild Boar nr. Windemere. It was our 3rd wedding at the beautiful venue in the last couple of years. Georgia and Dave tied the knot to the theme of a winter wonderland and The Wild Boar could not have a been a more perfect venue to accomodate with it's resident open fire, oak panelling and just generally looking like something out of a Charles Dickens novel!
Last Saturdays wedding was at The Fylde Rugby Club in Lytham. The venue was a first for us and did not disappoint! Naomi and David had got married previously in Ibiza but wanted to have a party at home as well.
