We had an amazing night at the Glass House wedding venue in Staining last Saturday. Although we had some unpredictable rainy weather, the bride and groom, Katy and Ash were on top form and Katy’s dress looked incredible! We played Katy’s birthday many years ago and we were lucky enough for her to ask us to now play her wedding.
First of all, what an incredibly beautiful venue. It was a first for us but hopefully not the last! As the name suggests, the main function room is mainly glass, letting in lot’s of light and the view looks out onto open rolling fields – stunning!
Katy had asked us to learn ‘Heaven – Bryan Adams’ for their first dance which we did. She opted for the acoustic version so Chris started the track on his own and myself & Andy picked it up half way through. After the first dance we got straight to it and the audience were really up for a good night and jumped on the dance floor straight away which as you know makes our night more enjoyable and easier.
After the first set, Katy had arranged with us to DJ lot’s of different surprise tracks including Zobra the Greek which was fun!
We ended up doing 4 half an hour sets which worked really well because along with the surprise DJ tracks it made the evening flow so well with no quiet points. It was 1am before we knew it!
